More common than it sounds, many people have a hard time defining who their target audience is. Others have difficulty translating into words what kind of service they offer. And have you ever stopped to write what solutions do you offer to your customers? What is the problem that your customers bring you to solve?

I've even lost count of how many customers come to me to create a visual identity, without first knowing what kind of audience they want to sell to. Because of this, I decided to make my Project Briefing a little more complete and also include these very basic but fundamental questions.

The Briefing, for those who are unfamiliar with the term, turns out to be a very important tool to keep everyone involved in the same page. The team harmony is necessary so that everyone is happy with the results, which will emerge as the result of what could be months of hard work, depending on the size of the project.
Despite already playing such an important role, the Briefing also ends up being, in many cases, the first time that some people stop to organize the focus of their business and what kind of customers they want to attract.
After all, it's easy for you to know what you're offering. But translating your ideas into words that live up to the soul of your business is harder than it sounds.
And don't get me wrong, Whatsapp, with its audio messages, is a beautiful tool. Skype and Zoom meetings are great. But you still haven't really organized your business until you have your values, products and goals written down on paper.

There are numerous tools that can help in this process, books, guides, courses... I like to use something I affectionately call "the master key". It works as a parenthesis in this whole "I want a logo for yesterday" rush and invites you to stop, take a step back and look inside your very core and soul. Seek your purpose in life and embark on a process of self-knowledge.
The selection of questions below are part of my special self-knowledge program. They work as a great "master key" capable of unlocking baseline thoughts and ideas that will help you to see clarity and guide you on the best direction your business can take to aline itself with your role in this world.
Nothing is more important than meeting first the great creator of your business: You!
INSTRUCTIONS
The purpose of the following questions is to jumpstart your process of self-knowledge to better understand which path to take in your business.
The questions can be very personal for some people and therefore they do not need to be answered in writing in the comments, just start these questions for yourself in your Planner and set aside this moment to get to know yourself.
YOU
What do I have best?
Not everyone finds it easy to answer this question regarding talent. Asking for help from people close to you can shed light on the issue.
Am I maximizing my talents and working on my weaknesses?
Does the activity you perform today meet your talent, strengthening it? Regarding weaknesses, do you know what they are and have you worked to develop them?
What is my essence and where do I feel better?
This question concerns your personal values, mission, purpose in life and also the type of environment in which you fit.
Where do I want to go?
Thinking about career is formulating goals. Planning must comprise three time dimensions: short, medium and long term.
Remember that goals have a date to be achieved. Set your dates.
Not everyone can easily answer all these questions. What was the hardest question to answer?
YOUR BUSINESS
After doing this self-analysis and writing your answers in your planner, you are ready to answer your Briefing in a more centered and organized way. It is important to remember that if you are doing your visual identity here on this website, you have access to a special and private forum dedicated exclusively to your Briefing. It is important to wait for the evaluation time for your access to be opened. Each person can only access their own Briefing where we will address the following questions: What, to whom, where, when, how?
1. WHAT do you have to offer your customers?
2. WHO are you offering it to?
3. WHERE are you offering it?
4. WHEN are you offering it?
5. HOW are you offering it?
If you already have your access granted, just enter the forum and answer your briefing there. But if you're just visiting here on the blog, I hope the post has helped with your briefing.
